If your personal dental insurance has orthodontic treatment coverage, you will have reduced out-of-pocket costs. Insurance policy coverage varies, and most insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that differs from your regular dental insurance coverage. Usually, orthodontic policies cover approximately 50% of the total treatment cost, up to a determined lifetime maximum. Insurance policies offer several different types of arrangements for their clients regarding orthodontic coverage. It is best for you to contact your insurance company prior to beginning treatment so that you are aware of your total benefit amount and what amount you will be required to pay.

When you visit Walton Orthodontics, our patients don’t have to deal with the hassle of submitting insurance claims, because our friendly staff is happy to assist our patients with all aspects of  your insurance benefits. We accept several different dental insurance plans and are also providers for many insurance companies, which means that our patients will receive the highest possible insurance benefits!

As a service to our patients, Walton Orthodontics will provide an estimate of orthodontic costs prior to the beginning of treatment. All co-payments or additional out-of-pocket costs will be the responsibility of the patient. Our knowledgeable staff will then submit all insurance claims directly to the patient’s insurance carrier. The insurance carrier will then determine the benefit reimbursement and any remaining balance is the responsibility of the patient.
